Connecting over Bluetooth

1. On the camera: MENU → Network → Bluetooth → Bluetooth Function: On, then choose Pairing.
2. Also turn on MENU → Network → Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl.
3. In SFBracket, tap Scan for Cameras and select your camera.
4. Confirm the pairing on both the camera and your iPhone or iPad.

Connecting over USB

The setup guide is also in the app: Settings → Setup Guide.

1. On the camera: MENU → Network → PC Remote Function → PC Remote: On.
2. Connect the camera to your iPhone or iPad with a USB-C cable.

Common problems

• Focus doesn't move: use an autofocus lens with the camera in AF mode. Manual-focus and some adapted lenses can't be driven remotely.
• Commands are ignored: the camera may have gone to sleep. Wake it up, or increase the camera's power-save time.
• Step size feels too large or too small: step sizes are relative and depend on the lens. Use the Test step buttons on the Bracket screen, then try a smaller or larger step.

What's free and what's in SFBracket Pro?

Free: Bluetooth and USB bracketing up to 10 frames per bracket, the Remote tab, USB live view with focus peaking, the on-phone stack preview, the focus test step, built-in presets and the setup guide.

Pro adds: up to 200 frames, burst mode, rewind to the starting focus, starting a bracket from the camera's shutter button, timelapse stacking, flash recycle delay, custom presets, session history and stats, exporting the stacked preview, the focus coverage check and the Lock Screen / Dynamic Island Live Activity.

How much does Pro cost?

SFBracket Pro is a one-time purchase of $5.99 (or the local equivalent shown in the App Store). There is no subscription.

Can I try Pro first?

Yes. Every new user gets 3 free Pro brackets. A trial bracket is used only when a bracket that needs Pro actually takes at least one frame; stopping before the first frame does not use it. The remaining count is shown on the paywall.

Family Sharing

SFBracket Pro supports Family Sharing. Members of your family group can use Pro on their devices at no extra cost.

New device or reinstalled the app?

Sign in with the same Apple Account, then tap Settings → Restore Purchase, or open the paywall and tap Restore Purchase. If nothing is found, check that you are signed in with the Apple Account you bought Pro with.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Does timelapse keep running with the screen off?

No. Timelapse runs while SFBracket stays open in the foreground; the app keeps the screen awake and dims it between runs. If you switch apps or lock the phone, the timelapse pauses and you get a notification — return to the app to resume. Keep your device on power for long sessions.

Why does the stack preview look soft?

The stack preview is built on your phone from low-resolution live view frames and is not aligned, so lens focus breathing can show as slight doubling at edges. Use it to check coverage before you shoot, and desktop stacking software on the full-resolution photos for the final image.

Sending feedback or reporting a bug

In the app, go to Settings → Support → Send Feedback. Choose a type, write your message and, if you like, include diagnostics. The app opens your own mail app with everything filled in, and you can read and edit it before sending.
